December seems like a weird month to start a blog. Most people would at least wait for January to roll around before tackling a new passion. But the thing is, I’ve found you can never really have an intact-altogether plan. Plans are constantly changing so it’s better to start something while you can rather than wait.
I’ve been sitting on this desire to start a blog for about six months now and I have learned a lot about patience. It’s all about Gods timing, not ours.
I am a big planner even though I don’t want to be. I can’t help but plan out my day which turns into me planning out my week and then the month and next thing I know I have planned out the next five years of my life. I have to have patience within my plan knowing that it will change in a small way or a big way. God will always bring an interruption into our plans and we should view it as a chance to grow.
What do you have planned out for your future? Have you been planning and waiting for something big in your life to happen? Have you been waiting and waiting for a prayer to be answered? It is all about God’s timing. I know that Christian’s hear this a lot, but it is so true.
A lot of times we can get so caught up in our own plans that we forget to allow God into them. But in order for us to be led by God, we have to loosen the reigns of our control and let God be the leader. He knows what is best for you because He knows you better than you know yourself.
In Proverbs 16:9 (NLT), it says that “we can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”
Even though we have plans for ourselves and our futures, there will be interruptions unplanned for. It says that “the Lord determines our steps.” God will always be there to help us take the next step. Even if you are waiting for a prayer to be answered or you are waiting for your plan to be put into action, God will determine when you take that next step.
Sometimes our version of a next step is different from God’s. So don’t be dismayed if you end up taking a step back or a step in another direction. God knows every step you have taken and will ever take.
