Stand before the King himself.
Bubbling joy spurts from the soul.
Angelic beings float above.
Grace abounds in enveloping love.
Questions of ‘whether’s, what if’s, and am I’s’
coming together to form ‘I tried.’
Knowing sprouts from the base.
“Lord, I come to take up my place.”
Carry my burdens, my cross, and mistakes.
Spreading the news for others sakes.
Swallowing human emotion and feeling.
“Am I a good Christian or just one of the many?”
Gates open wide with the grace of the Lord.
Sins are on Earth, my great reward.
“God, I walk humbly into your kingdom.”
“Stand beside me and embrace your freedom.
“No need to worry, no need to fret,
“your sins are erased along with your debt.”
Wings grow upon my back;
my soul morphs into a form.
I look through the Eastern gate
at a land flowing with gold.
“Welcome to Heaven my dearest daughter.
“We’ve been waiting for you
“for you have been set free.
“Therefore, let us come and eat together
“and celebrate the joining of another
“who believed and had faith in me.”
