You are BELOVED

Two weeks ago I had the privilege of attending the first NowGen bootcamp ran by the Women’s Speaker Collective. At the end of the week, each girl was instructed to write a word on this large sheet. This word was to encourage and to be a testament of what we had learned at the speaker collective camp. I wrote the word beloved. My church Pastor, Pastor Kaitlyn, did a sermon about the word beloved during the week. That sermon and the word beloved stuck with me.

The word beloved, as defined by the dictionary, is defined as “dearly loved. A much loved person.” You see we are all beloved. We are dearly loved by God. We are much loved people. I felt like the word beloved was important because it’s important to remember how loved you are. The God of the universe loves you so much that He calls you His dearly beloved.

Pastor Kaitlyn showed us this cool technique in order to remember that we are beloved. It also doubles as a breathing exercise! Here’s what you have to do. Breathe in the word BE. And breathe out the word LOVED. Be loved. Be. Loved.

You see, we need to allow ourselves to be loved. If God calls us beloved, then there should be nothing stopping us from feeling and being loved. Fully loved, by God.

I want you to take a second and just sit and breathe. In and out. Be and loved. Be loved. Be loved. Be loved.

You were made on purpose for a purpose and I fully believe that. And God fully believes that because He made you. He made you.

Another cool thing that Pastor Kaitlyn showed us is that after we accept that we are beloved. We can drop the ‘d’ and just remind ourselves to be love. Be God’s love to other’s.

We can’t be love until we accept that we are beloved. So take some time and just breathe in BE and breathe out LOVED. Be loved so you can be love.
